PackRyt® ORM - O-Ring Sealing & Bearing System for Mechanical Seals
Mechanical seals are ultra-precision devices:the seal faces are carefully lapped to less than 1.8 microns. Downtime or leakage due to seal-face parting or failure is extremely costly.
That’s where our PackRyt® ORM system comes in, providing our patented bearing plus an o-ring sealing solution designed to protect mechanical-seal faces and extend equipment life.
Why Seal Face Protection Matters
When mechanical seals fail, the impact can be significant: production delays, costly repairs, and lost revenue. Protecting seal faces is therefore critical to maintaining operational efficiency and prolonging equipment life.

Enhancing Mechanical Seal Performance
SealRyt’s patented bearing technology provides an extra layer of protection and performance for mechanical seals. It works by:
● Minimizing radial shaft movement caused by run out or misalignment
● Acting as a replaceable wear surface
● Transferring load and wear from the seal faces to the bearing
● Allowing the mechanical seal faces to remain in close contact and function optimally
● Aiding in vibration dampening
The O-Ring Mount Bearing (ORM) Difference
Our ORM has been developed specifically for mechanical seals.

This o-ring mount bearing comes split like all of our bearings (solid configurations on request) and is designed to go into the stuffing box before the mechanical seal.
The placement and design creates a barrier between your mechanical seal and the ORM to further protect it and reduce movement of process - all to provide the highest level of insurance for your mechanical seal.
For High-Pressure Seals
In high-pressure environments, a traditional o-ring may not be adequate enough to keep it seated against the bottom of the stuffing box.
For these situations, we’ve developed a locking collar to go around the shaft behind the ORM.
This is a mechanical lock for the ORM ensures a seal, no matter what your process pressure is.
This is just one of our many available configurations of the ORM.
