BEARING/LANTERN RING (BLR)

This bearing configuration includes a lantern ring groove to provide thin-film flush along the I.D. of the bearing. This is necessary when sealing slurries, powders, or other types of solids and results in substantial longevity for the entire sealing system. The flush can be water, glycol, air or other gas. The sealing portion contains patented braided products designed to conduct frictional heat generated by intimate contact.

BEARING (BRG)

This bearing is a block configuration with no flush provisions, designed to both bear the shaft and replace several packing rings. It is best used in clear fluids and gases where there will be no incursion of solids under the bearing . The sealing portion contains patented braided products designed to conduct frictional heat generated by intimate contact.

O-RING MOUNT (ORM)

This bearing is designed to bear the shaft and sharply curtail flush fluid from entering the process system. It has an O-ring on the O.D. which provides the seal to the bore. It's principal use is with mechanical seals and aids greatly in keeping seal faces concentric. On slurries, it can be used alone with a seal by purging gas or fluid into the void between seal and bearing, keeping the seal O.D. clean, and the bearing both lubricated and in place. When used on clear fluids or gases and where no flush of any kind is possible, a locking collar can be provided to keep the bearing seated against the throat.
