Construction
Made of special, high-strength PTFE yarn which is pre-lubricated and impregnated with a PTFE dispersion. Braided in the Seal Ryt cross-lock construction. Characteristics Highly chemical resistant and anti-frictional. Inert to virtually all chemicals. Most suitable for use in chemical valve sealing where a clean, dense, impervious packing with the attributes of a firm all-Teflon packing are desired. Reported Values of Performance
Suitable for most chemical services, most common exceptions being molten alkali metals, fluorine (at elevated temperatures) and complex halogen compounds (such as chlorine triflouride). Not suggested for abrasive services. |
