Construction
Made of special, soft, high-strength PTFE yarn which is pre-lubricated and impregnated with PTFE dispersion and added break-in lubrication. Braided in the Seal Ryt cross-lock construction. Characteristics Highly chemical resistant and anti-frictional. Inert to virtually all chemicals. (Also available as Seal Ryt Purelon Tape style 410, which is particularly useful on glass-lined or metal flanges on reactors, centrifuges, etc.) Reported Values of Performance
Suitable for most chemical services, most common exceptions being molten alkali metals, fluorine (at elevated temperatures) and complex halogen compounds (such as chlorine triflouride.) Not suggested for abrasive services. |
